Voicemail
Voicemail provides you with a digital answering service, which you can access via your telephone. The service can answer your calls when you are on the phone or unable to answer the call.
You can customise your own outgoing message or use the one provided by us. The service is easy to use via voice prompts.
If you are away from your desk you can access your voicemail remotely via phone or the internet. If you use the voicemail alerts, you can also receive a copy of your messages in your email inbox.
How do I use the feature?
To access voicemail from your phone simply dial ‘1571’ to access your personal mailbox or ‘1572’ to access your central mailbox.
To customise your voicemail greeting, dial ‘1571’ and follow the spoken prompts.
If you wish to access your voicemail from a remote phone you can dial 0843 557 4 557 and enter your mailbox number and password, which can be found in the control panel.
Call Hold
If you are on the phone and something crops up that you need to do straight away, such as answer the door, look something up or ask a colleague a question then the call hold feature is just what you need.
When a caller is on hold they will hear music until you are ready to pick up the call.
How do I use the feature?
To use the call hold feature all you need to do is press the ‘Hold’ button. Some devices may have an ‘R’ button that performs the same function.
If you have a multi-line device you can also press the illuminated line button to place the caller on hold. To return to the call all you need to do is press the same button again and you will be reconnected.

0843 and Geographic Numbers
SynergyVoip offer free 0843 telephone numbers, so you can have multiple numbers on your account. Maybe one for friends and family and another for business.

SynergyVoip offer 0845 and 01, 02 geographic numbers at a single number free with every seat purchased or additional numbers per seat can be taken for a small monthly fee.
If you wish to have a presence in another location, this is easy to do with SynergyVoip. For example, if you have an office in Manchester and wish to have a presence in London, you can easily add an 020 number to your account small fee per month! Also remember that calls between offices would be free when using SynergyVoip at each office!
How do I use the feature?
To add geographic numbers to your account, login and select ‘Telephone Numbers’ from your control panel.
Caller ID
Caller ID allows you to see the number and/or name of the caller before you answer the phone.
The caller ID feature is useful if you only wish to take calls from people you know, as many devices allow you to enter the callers number and associate a name to this which is shown when a call is received. This allows easy recognition of the person calling
How do I use the feature?
The Caller ID service is enabled by default, all you need is a softphone/hardphone that is capable of showing the Caller ID. The majority of VoIP phones have this functionality, including many VoIP telephone adapters.
Conference Calls
Anyone with a SynergyVoip account can use the conference call feature. It’s free for any SynergyVoip user to call and friends or colleagues can join the conference by calling the remote access telephone number.
You can have as many participants as you wish in your conference for as long as you like. This feature is ideal for remote workers to stay in contact with each other and to improve communication.
How do I use the feature?
To use this feature select the ‘Advanced’ icon in your control panel and select the ‘Conferencing’ icon to configure your conference passwords.
SynergyVoip users can dial ‘155’ to access conferencing free and remote parties can dial ‘0843 557 5575’.
Once you have configured your passwords you can access the conference room when ever you like!
Call Divert
Call divert is extremely useful if you are waiting for a call but can’t stay close to your phone. The call divert service allows you to divert calls made to your phone to another number. This can be any number such as your mobile phone or another extension.
The only cost for this is the cost of the connecting call. So it’ll cost the same amount as if you were calling the number from your Synergy account. If you divert the call to another Synergy VOIP member or a member of a peered network the call will be free
How do I use the feature?
To divert calls, go to ‘Extension Config’ and select the extension you require to be diverted. Enter the diversion number into the relevant diversion fields.
Call Waiting
Synergy offers free call waiting, which allows you to see who is calling while you are already on a call (dependant on your hard/soft phone). Since Synergy also offer a free call hold service you can place the first call on hold and greet the second caller.
With a Caller ID enabled phone you can see the second caller’s details displayed on the screen, so you can decide to answer the call or let the caller be passed onto the free voicemail service.
How do I use the feature?
The call waiting service is enabled by default, all you need is a hardware/software phone that is capable of call waiting indication.
Most phones support this feature, either by displaying the callers information on screen or by playing a tone when a second call is received.
Multiple Lines
Synergy allows as many lines as your soft or hardware phone can handle, many VoIP phones can handle more than one line at a time.
If you are on a call and another line rings, the phone will alert you to another call by flashing a ‘line light’. Don’t worry if you can’t answer the other line, as the call will be directed to voicemail if it is not answered.
How do I use the feature?
This feature is enabled by default. To answer another call just place the first call on hold (See Call Hold) and answer the other call, by pressing the flashing line button.
Call Records
Synergy keep a log of all of your inbound and outbound calls. These can be accessed via the real-time control panel.
Call records can be extremely useful if you wish to see where your call credit is being spent, or to see how successful an advertising campaign has been. For example if you are spending money on advertising, why not select a new telephone number for this campaign and use this to monitor the response from the advertising. The call lists will show you all the calls you have received, missed and made. How long they were for and how much they cost. If you forgot to take down someone’s number that called you, this is where to look first
How do I use the feature?
To use this service all you need to do is log-in to your account and select ‘Call Records’.
1471 Last Caller Info
Has there ever been a time where you just haven’t got to the phone in time and didn’t know who called? Well this service can help you!
The 1471 Last caller information service provides you with information regarding the last call, such as the telephone number that called you. The service also goes one step further, providing you with the ability to return the call by pressing just one key!
How do I use the feature?
To use this service just dial 1471 from your telephone.
It really is as simple as that!
