USA Telephone Numbers
Synergy Telecoms are able to provide USA telephone numbers in the following states:
District Of Columbia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Virginia.
USA telephone numbers are charged at £4.99 per month including VAT and include one thousand incoming minutes per month. Any incoming minutes over the thousand inclusive minutes are charged at 0.5p per minute.
We are also able to offer numbers in additional states to those listed above, however these are not in the standard footprint and may be charged at different rates to the areas above. Please contact sales with your requirements for numbers not in the standard footprint on 03332 400073
How do I use the feature?
A limited number of USA numbers are available though the ‘Telephone Numbers’ section of the control panel. If you require an area that is not available, please contact us to request these numbers.
Most numbers can be active within a few hours of being requested during standard office hours.
Time Profiles
Do you need calls to be handled differently during standard office hours? If so, the time profiles feature can help you achieve this.
Time profiles are free and can be used in a hierarchy if needed to provide very complex call routing based on time.
How do I use the feature?
To setup your time profiles, select the time profile icon in the advanced section of your control panel and create a new time profile based on your needs.
Time profiles work by specifying a time they are active and then directing the call if the current time is between these defined times. If the time is before or after the defined times you can specify how the call is also handled.
WiFi Calls
There are an ever increasing number of Wi-Fi access points, some are now free to connect to and use!
Since VoIP only needs a connection to the internet you can now make calls using wireless internet access. There are also Wi-Fi phones that can connect to Wi-Fi hotspots without the need of a computer and allow you to connect to the Synergy VOIP network directly.
If you use a softphone and a wireless enabled laptop you could use your phone from any location across the world to make free phone calls!
How do I use the feature?
To make a call using a Wi-Fi network just connect to an available network and start using the service as normal! Please note that some Wi-Fi networks may charge for access to their service. If you are an IPhone user and have the free Fring App installed click here to learn how to configure it
Virtual PBX
Virtual PBX offers you the features of an expensive telephone system for £3 per line a month. Each line has the following features:
– Personal voicemail box
– Access to a central mailbox
– Ring groups for each allocated number, i.e. sales, accounts etc
– Transfer between lines using short codes, i.e. 200 -> 201
– Direct dial numbers
– Free calls between extensions
– Plus all of the standard account features!
How do I use the feature?
To use the Virtual PBX service, just sign-in to your account and add additional extensions to your account!
SMS Messaging
Online SMS messaging from your control panel. This feature allows you to send text messages online, if you also have a SMS enabled geographic number you can send and receive text messages via the geographic number. Please contact one of the team to discuss your SMS requirements.
Of course if you do not have a SMS enabled geographic number you can also register your mobile number to receive replies from your messages!
SMS messages cost just 10p including VAT!
If you have an application that requires SMS features, you can also use our SMS gateway to send and receive messages!
At present our newly added number ranges are not SMS enabled, we are currently working on this!
How do I use the feature?
To use this feature just register or login to your account and select ‘SMS Messages’ from your control panel.
It’s that simple!
Customised Prompts
IVR, Call Queues & Time Profiles have the facility for you to record your own voice prompts. This facility allows you to record your own messages to be used in conjunction with those features giving complete freedom over what your caller hears when interfacing with the voice enabled features
How do I use the feature?
To use this service all you need to do is login to your account and select the custom prompts icon in the advanced section of your control panel..
Call Queues
Too many inbound calls? Not enough lines or operators? Not sure if you’re missing some calls?
Call queuing will answer your calls, queue them and put them through to you as your phones become available. If the caller hangs up before they are connected, you can view their details in your call log.
Customers can be welcomed to the queue with a custom message of your choosing. While waiting the caller will hear announcements of average hold time, their position in the queue and hold music.
This service only costs £4 (inc. VAT) per month and can help you manage your callers expectations, as people who normally receive a busy tone are more inclined to call another company.
How do I use the feature?
To activate this feature, login to your account and purchase a queue. Once setup you can direct any of your incoming numbers to the queue.
If required you can dynamically login and out of your queue using a code on your telephone keypad, this allows you to take calls when required. It is also a good way to stop a phone ringing when someone is out of the office, as the queue will only call people who are available to take calls!
IVR – Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for…
IVR is an advanced way of handling calls quickly and efficiently. When a phone call is received the caller receives a professional message asking them which department they require.
For example ‘Welcome, please select from one of the following options. For Sales press 1, For Accounts press 2…’.
The system is 100% customisable with the ability to customise every prompt. The menu system can be as simple or as complex as you require, with the ability to have multiple menus.
Each menu costs just £4.99 (inc VAT) and can save you and your employees time spent dealing with routing calls to the correct departments.
How do I use the feature?
To use this feature, login to your account and select the IVR icon in the advanced section of your control panel.
You can purchase an IVR menu then customise it to suit your needs.
There are standard prompts for ‘Sales’, ‘Accounts’ and more.
SMS Voicemail Alerts
SMS Alerts allow you to be informed of new voicemail messages as and when they are received.
As soon as a voicemail is received an SMS message is sent to a registered phone, this message contains the number of voicemails waiting, the mailbox it has been received in and the remote access voicemail telephone number that can be called to listen to your voicemail.
SMS alerts cost just 10p (inc. VAT) per message sent.
How do I use the feature?
To setup this feature select ‘Mobile Alerts’ from the control panel, enter your mobile number and select which mailboxes you would like to receive alerts for.
Caller ID Rewriting
This service allows you to prefix the Caller ID information with text to help you identify which number has been called.
For example a caller calling from 08708610300 would appear on the caller id display as ‘08708610300’. If you use this service you could prefix the number with ‘Sales’ or ‘Acc’ etc. When doing so the caller id display would show ‘Sales-08708610300’. This is very useful if you have to answer calls to more than one number and need to know who the caller is expecting to answer.
How do I use the feature?
To configure this service, all you need to do is go to the ‘Telephone Number’ section of your Synergy VOIP control panel. From there you can configure the prefix you require.
You can have a different prefix for each number you have allocated to your account if required!
